MARCH 2017 NEWSLETTER

Posted on March 17th, 2017

Hello to everybody

Well, March is upon us and it’s wonderful to see all the spring flowers out in full. It’s uplifting to see all the colours around us. I’m a great believer in colour therapy and the bright yellows and purples of the spring bulbs are therapeutic and give hope for the summer to come.

I’ve had a busy March so far. I commenced the month with a wonderful experience when I took part in the Spirit-Seeker weekend at Pontins Sand Bay, Weston-Super-Mare. It was satisfying to work with so many gifted people. I have to say a big thank you to Ray and Ashley Robinson of LAD Promotions for inviting me to take part. If you missed out this year then you will have the opportunity to attend next year. It will be at the same venue, from Friday the 2nd March to Monday the 5th March 2018. The whole weekend costs just £169 and this includes half-board accommodation. If you would like to book then please telephone 01934 428200 or e-mail SpiritSeeker@ashleyr.co.uk

I had a run of excellent shows in Shanklin, Tunbridge Wells, Fleet and Taunton which generated some marvellous feedback. It is so satisfying to know that my work is not only appreciated but is validated – something that is so important to a medium. It is all very well having people accept the messages that we pass over but it is wonderful to hear that people can so easily place the names and people in the spirit world that we make communication with.

Today I will be at The Lights in Andover and then The Pavilion Theatre, Exmouth on Saturday. I’m looking forward to visiting these to venues very much as the people are always to supportive and appreciative of my work.

On Friday the 24th March I will be appearing at The Brookside Theatre in Romford. If you would like tickets for this venue then the booking office number is 01708 755775. The following day I will be at St. Mary Community Centre, Wisbech, Cambs. If you would like to come and join me at that venue then the box office number is 07598 710018

I have two dates in April – Sunday the 9th April I will be at The Tyne Theatre & Opera House – box office number 0844 2491000 and on Wednesday the 12th April I will be appearing at The Regal Theatre in Bathgate. The number for tickets is 01506 630085

Following the two April dates I will be going off on holiday for a couple of weeks but I will be returning for two dates in May:

26 May Thwaites Empire, Blackburn Box Office 01254 680137
27 May Civic Hall, Nantwich Box Office 01270 628633

There are obviously far more dates scheduled for the rest of the year and details of those can be found on my web site at www.derekacorah.com

May I draw your attention to the fact that I will be doing a number of intimate shows during the month of June. Tickets for these shows can only be booked on line through my web site www.derekacorah.com The dates for these shows are as follows:

01 June AFC Racecourse Ground, Wrexham
02 June Imperial Hotel, The Promenade, Llandudno
15 June Racecourse Holiday Inn, Dunstall Park, Wolverhampton
29 June Slaley Hall Hotel, Hexham
22 June The Holiday Inn, Scotch Corner, Nr. Darlington

The ticket allocation is very limited for these special events and so booking early is advisable.

Filming for my television programme “Beyond The Grave” is continuing and one lucky person will be in with a chance of joining myself and the crew on set for a day. To get involved all you have to do is visit the Facebook group “Beyond The Grave with Derek Acorah”, join and share the page as much as you possibly can. The person who achieves the most shares will be the person who joins us for that special day.

I have created a new page on Facebook – the Derek Acorah Healing page. This is a page dedicated to people who wish to be added to my absent healing list. If you feel you would like to add your own name to the list or the name of a loved one who is suffering in some way then please go along and join the page.

A couple of years ago I had a page on Facebook entitled Talk Derek Acorah. Unfortunately Facebook saw fit to lock all admins out of the group and it has remained stagnant for the duration. I thought that it was such a pity that people could no longer take part in the chit chat that used to take place and so I have created a new group, again it is named Talk Derek Acorah. To ensure that you visit the correct page if you would like to join then details are posted on my own Derek Acorah public figure page.

The Derek Acorah Official Fan Club is of course still on-going and the main satellite page to go to (https://www.facebook.com/groups/DAFanClub/) and there is some good news afoot! The next Fan Club get together in aid of Pathfinder Dogs is scheduled for Friday/Saturday the 22nd and 23rd September. If you would like details on how you can come along and join us all then please visit the Fan Club Facebook page and request details.

As ever I would ask you to continue with your marvellous support of Pathfinder Dogs by collecting milk and soft drinks bottle tops, and look out for an article which will be appearing in “Yours” magazine, 28th March issue when Pathfinder Dogs are featured. If you would like any further information regarding anything involving Pathfinder Dogs then please contact their web site at www.pathfinderdogs.org

It only remains for me to remind you that on Sunday the 26th March the daylight saving time commences in the UK so it will be time to put your clocks forward. Don’t forget!

Love to you all

DEREK ACORAH BLOG – 14 March 2017

Posted on March 14th, 2017

Hello and welcome to my blog

As usual, it’s been a slow start to the year on the theatre front but my time has been taken up with the filming of my new Programme “Beyond the Grave”. I have found this very exciting and satisfying and have loved working with my old pal Alan Bates. I always knew that one day we would work together on television and my words have proved true after all these years. We have been to some interesting places and have uncovered some exciting facts, and I hope that when the programme goes to air that you will find the content equally riveting. We are continuing to film – Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither is good programming completed in a couple of weeks. I’m looking forward to you seeing the end result of our efforts at the end of this year. If you would like to see updates of how we are getting on together with exclusive photographs then go along and join the “Beyond the Grave with Derek Acorah” Facebook public group, and please share with your friends if you would. The person who achieves the most “shares” will have the opportunity to join us on set for the day and see exactly what goes on during a day’s filming.

I have been more than pleased with feed-back and validations I have received following my theatre and event appearances. So many people have been in touch thanking me for passing on messages from their loved ones. It’s heartening to know how much people can be truly helped with communication from friends and loved ones in the world of spirit. One particular message stands out in my mind and that was for a gentleman who attended one of my recent shows. The communication wasn’t from a loved one but from a young male employee who had sadly been involved in a motor accident. The gentleman in question had always blamed himself for the tragedy because the young lad in question had worked late for him on the evening of the accident. Had he left for home at his usual time then of course he would not have met his untimely end. I was able to pass on a message to the gentleman from his employee that he was happy and at peace and did not hold him responsible at all, and that he should take all thoughts of guilt from his mind. The relief on the gentleman’s face on hearing this message was a joy to behold. “You just don’t know what you’ve done Derek” he told me, “I’ve been living with those guilty feelings for a year or more. Now I can rest easy knowing that there are no bad feelings”. This to me is as important as passing on messages from loved ones in the world of spirit. It’s not just proof of survival, it goes further than that…. it brings us people left here on the earth joy and happiness and relief for some from long-held thoughts of guilt of not being with a loved one when they passed away, of not doing all that they might have done at the time of the passing and as in this case, the “if only” element of engineering a situation which inadvertently turned to tragedy.

I so much enjoyed the Spirit Seeker weekend 3rd-6th March this year held at Pontins Sand Bay in Weston-Super-Mare. A big thank you to Ray and Ashley Robinson of LAD Promotions for making me so welcome. I am pleased to say that I have been asked back for next year’s event which will be held at the same location next year from Friday, March 2nd to Monday, March 5th. If you missed this year’s event then make sure that you don’t miss out in 2018.

My next shows are on Friday the 17th March at The Lights, Andover (box office 01264 368368) and then on Saturday, 18th March I will be appearing at The Pavilion Theatre in Exmouth (box office 01395 222477). Come along and join me if you feel you would like to.

The following weekend, 24th and 25th March, I will be at Brookside Theatre, Romford on the Friday and St. Mary Community Hall, Wisbech, Cambs on the Saturday. I look forward to seeing some of you at those two venues.
For further information of where I will be for the rest of the year then visit the Dates page of my web site www.derekacorah.com

The Wheel of the Year is turning and it seems impossible that Ostara will be upon us on Monday, the 20th March. This is the pagan celebration of Spring Equinox when the day and night are exactly the same length of time. To me, it seems no time since the Winter Solstice and the shortest day. Nevertheless, a Blessed Ostara to all my Pagan friends.

A big thank you to all the people who have attended my theatre appearances and I look forward to seeing and meeting more of you in the forthcoming shows.

Don’t forget to keep up with me on Facebook Live when I will be saying Hello to many of you, and hopefully passing on a few messages. My official Facebook page is simply “Derek Acorah” and carries the blue verification tick.

SEPTEMBER 2016 NEWSLETTER

Posted on September 6th, 2016

Hello once again to everybody

Can I begin by extending an apology to anybody who had tickets for my show at The Spa Pavilion in Felixstowe on Saturday the 3rd September. Following an excellent night at Great Yarmouth at The Britannia Pier theatre I tripped over something in the dressing room and jarred my back badly. I thought that things would be well for the show the following night but when I woke up in the morning, sadly that was not the case as I could barely walk. However a couple of days in bed have helped enormously and I am now able to walk around properly. I will be very careful in future and will make sure that I am looking where I am going!

I hope that you have all had a wonderful summer and that you are suitably refreshed to face the autumn. For those of you with children I know that it is a fraught time getting the school uniforms together for the new term and in some cases, new school, but I’m sure that everybody will settle down well and it won’t be long before we’re talking of harvest festivals and, before too long, Halloween! Time flies so quickly!

As I mentioned I commenced the autumn leg of my Soul Reunion 2016 Tour in Great Yarmouth on Friday evening. The tour continues as follows:

16 Sept – The Majestic Theatre, Retford Box Office 01777 706866
22 Sept – The Town House, Hamilton Box Office 01698 452299
23 Sept – Civic Hall, Nantwich Box Office 01270 628633
28 Sept – Civic Theatre, Rotherham Box Office 01709 832621
29 Sept – Woodville Halls, Gravesend Box Office 08442 439480
30 Sept – Chequermead Theatre, East Grinstead Box Office 01342 302000

Prior to continuing my Soul Reunion 2016 Tour there are two important dates that I am very much looking forward to and that is when I join my good friend Richard Felix for our Psychic & Science Show. This is an innovative, live paranormal show which features lots of experiments and audience participation throughout. There are no other shows like this on the circuit as far as I am aware and it gives everybody the opportunity to join in and have some fun whilst getting on with the serious business of proving the existence of a world beyond ours. If you would like to come along and join Richard and myself then the dates are as follows:

Friday, 09 September Wyvern Theatre, Swindon Box Office 01793 524481
Thursday, 15 Sept. Tyne Theatre & Opera House Box Office 0844 2491 000

Booking details can also be found on the Dates page of my web site www.derekacorah.com If you are the sort of person who is interested in the paranormal and all aspects thereof, then this is the show for you. You will have the opportunity to meet up and chat with Richard and myself after the show.

A little later on in the year, I will be returning to the Costa del Sol and also appearing for the first time in Gibraltar, something that I am very much looking forward to. On Saturday the 15th October I will be appearing at Inces Theatre, Main Street, Gibraltar – Box Office 0034 722 570200 and on Monday the 17th October I will be returning to the Moonlight Rooms of The Sunset Beach Hotel in Benalmadena. The box office number for this venue is also 0034 722 570200. Tickets are also available for purchase at www.sunrocklive.com and you can again see details on the Dates page at www.derekacorah.com

As ever Kevin has been working very hard on my behalf, not only with regard to the forthcoming tour for 2017 (dates will become available on my web site very soon), but also on many other projects that are currently in the pipeline. 2017 looks to be an exciting year for me, not least because of my planned tour of Norway which is scheduled to take place in August of that year…. tickets soon to be available for purchase. Kevin is my sole agent, promoter and manager. You can make contact with him via acorahproductions.co.uk

Please can I remind you once again about the marvellous Pathfinder Guide Dog Programme, a registered charity of which Gwen and I are Patrons. Pathfinders raises and trains German Shepherd Dogs as guides to blind people in the UK. Funds are always desperately needed for the ongoing upkeep of all the dogs involved and so could I ask you to visit www.pathfinderdogs.org and donate. It doesn’t matter how little – every penny is appreciated. Details of Pathfinders can also be seen on the Facebook page www.facebook.com/PathfinderDogs

If you would like to keep up with me on social media then you can follow me on Facebook at www.facebook.com/derekacorahpage or on Twitter where my official page is @derek_acorah. You can also keep up with where I am and what I am doing by visiting the Derek Acorah Fan Club website www.derekacorahfanclub.co.uk or you can pay a visit to the DAFC Official Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/DAFanClub/?fref=ts If you would like information as to how to join the Derek Acorah Fan Club then please e-mail the lovely Fayth Barber on faythbarber @talktalk.net

Finally I would like to take this opportunity to send my own and Gwen’s congratulations to Anna Wimbles (was Coburn) and her new husband Tony. Anna has been a loyal fan club member and supporter for many, many years. It is lovely to be able to celebrate the fact that she has found such happiness with Tony.

It only leaves me to wish you all a wonderful September.

JULY 2016 NEWSLETTER

Posted on July 9th, 2016

Hello once again to everybody

I do hope that you are having a good summer, although now that we have seen the Solstice pass, we are rapidly heading once more towards the shorter days that herald the beginning of autumn. Nevertheless, let’s hope that we have many more sun filled days to experience before we have to think about that. Many of you will be heading off to sunnier climes for your annual holidays – I do hope that you enjoy yourselves and do take care with that strong sunshine… plenty of factors to guard against sunburn are a must! I will be disappearing off to Spain at the beginning of August myself and will be taking three weeks to hopefully do absolutely nothing in preparation for the forthcoming autumn tour. Before that point however I have some July tour dates to fulfil and these are as follows:-

Today, 09 July Grand Theatre, Swansea Box Office 01792 475715
15 July Assembly Rooms, Ludlow Box Office 01584 873229
20 July Middlesbrough Theatre Box Office 01642 815181
30 July Spennymoor Leisure Centre Box Office 0300 026 1161

All my further theatre appearances are listed and can be seen on the Dates page of my web site www.derekacorah.com

As you know the Derek Acorah Fan Club took place on 11th June at the Hilton Hotel in Blackpool and I am extremely pleased to say that lots of funds were raised in aid of Pathfinder Guide Dog Programme. A big thank you to all who attended the event, and also to those people who bought items in the auction on line. Every penny raised will go towards the raising and upkeep of the wonderful dogs who help blind people to live an independent life. If you would like to read more about Pathfinder Dogs or indeed, if you would like to donate, then please visit their web site www.pathfinderdogs.org Organised and run by the wonderful Fayth Barber, the Derek Acorah Official Fan Club is something special and I feel privileged that so many people choose to be members. If you would like to join then please contact Fayth on faythbarber@talktalk.net or of course you can visit the Derek Acorah Fan Club web site www.derekacorahfanclub.co.uk or the Official Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/DAFanClub/?fref=ts

As I mentioned in my June Newsletter, I have joined forces with Kevin Elliott who is now my appointed agent/promoter for all matters concerning my work. Should you have any queries as to my availability then he is the person to contact kevin@acorahproductions.co.uk Here are a few words from Kevin:

Hello everyone, I know a lot of you know of me from Facebook and from production circuit over the last 10 years. I have known Derek for around 8 years and we had a great friendship from day one.
I was thrilled when he invited me to become manager for his business affairs, and he was equally pleased I accepted. My first month in office was a tad hectic to say the least, it was a quick start, but fine, nothing I couldn’t handle, we made good progress as a team.
Aside from Derek’s tour dates in the UK and Ireland, I am very keen to get him overseas, something I am passionate about. Already we have arranged a tour in new territory for Derek, Norway ! I have wanted to get him out there in the past and recently I contacted a promoter and he jumped at the chance. Spain and Gibraltar shows are also being discussed, plus I have been contacted by a promoter in New Zealand. Derek has been to NZ previously and featured on TV there.
It’s certainly a buzzing office and I look forward to working with Acorah Productions taking Derek and the company forward. As a new aspect for Derek I want you guys to be interactive with me, add me on Facebook, you will see me post frequently on the Acorah Facebook walls or add me on twitter @AcorahOffice or email me, kevin@acorahproductions.co.uk
Speaking about Facebook, it seems to be rife with Fake Derek profiles popping up extorting money from people for private readings, even I was offered a reading for £125 from fake. Derek’s only official Facebook page has been verified and has a little blue tick next to it. Derek has no plans of opening another Facebook page but if you see tone hen do let us know.
I will give you all an update bi-monthly in the newsletter as I feel its important that you see behind the scenes and get the information about new tour dates and projects before the general public so you can save the date or get tickets early. For now, Toodle Pip Kevin

As mentioned earlier, my web site address is www.derekacorah.com where you will find all sorts of information regarding where I will be and what I will be getting up to over the coming months. If you would like to keep up with me on social media, then my Twitter accounts is @derek_acorah and my official Facebook page is at https://www.facebook.com/derekacorahpage/?ref=hl

I think that is all for this month. It only remains for me to wish you all a wonderful July and if you are going away on holiday then have a marvellous time.

I look forward to seeing some of you during this month on my travels around the country.
Best Wishes

MAY 2016 NEWSLETTER

Hello to everybody
And here we are in May! This year seems to be galloping by! At least we’re experiencing some beautiful weather after the terrible rain that we have had. I have actually been able to get out in to the garden and try and make repair to some of the terrible damage that the dogs have done to the grass and flower beds. They had succeeded in making them in to a muddy, swampy mess with their playing and running around.
I had an exciting time on Friday the 6th May when I was joined in my home by Paul Cissell, my great friend and a gifted medium together with Fayth Barber, Admin of the Derek Acorah Fan Club, for the first of the “Derek Acorah’s Live Lounge”. My buddy Ray Rodaway came along to join us and we all had a great deal of fun. Some very interesting questions that had been sent through were answered and I would like to think that a small amount of light was shone on mediumship in general. Unfortunately things didn’t quite work out as they were supposed to because of broadband issues but the whole programme was recorded and will be shown at a later date so look out for notifications on my social media pages and those of Euro Productions Limited.
I have been continuing on with my tour during April and once again met some really lovely people who were kind enough to come along and see me. Thank you to all – your attendance at my demonstrations is very much appreciated – and I love to see old friends and meet new ones along the way.
May is a busy month for me as for part of my tour I will be visiting Ireland where I will be joined on stage by the lovely and gifted Tara Coyle. If you would like to book tickets to see Tara and I, then we will be at the following venues on the noted dates. These are dates not to be missed and I would encourage anybody who wants tickets to book them now as there is bound to be a great demand.
20 May – National Opera House, Wexford +353 (0)53 912 2144
21 May – TLT, Tommy Ledder Theatre, Drogheda +353 (0)41 987 8560
22 May – Belfast Waterfront Studio 028 9033 4400
The rest of my tour for May is as follows:

28 May – Mowlem Theatre, Swanage 01929 422239
29 May – Congress Theatre, Cwmbran 01633 86823
Details of venues and box office telephone numbers for the rest of my Soul Reunion 2016 Tour can be seen on the Dates page of my web site at www.derekacorah.com or are regularly posted up on the Derek Acorah Fan Club Facebook page, my own Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/derekacorahpage/?fref=ts or on the Derek Acorah Tour Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/theatrederekacorah/?fref=ts
We do not have long to go now before the 11th June and the annual Derek Acorah Official Fan Club get-together which this year is taking place at the Hilton Hotel in Blackpool. If you would like tickets to attend then please do not delay as the cut off date is 31st May. To obtain tickets then please contact Fayth Barber on faythbarber@talktalk.net or of course you can visit the Derek Acorah Official Fan Club Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/DAFanClub/?fref=ts or the web site http://derekacorahfanclub.webs.com This year there are some wonderful auction items on offer which include some sensational WWE memorabilia items. As ever the auction is held in aid of Pathfinder Guide Dog Programme, of which Gwen and myself are patrons. You do not of course have to attend the event to bid on the items up for auction, so if you would like to see full details then visit the DAFC Facebook page or the Pathfinder Dogs web site which can be found at www.pathfinderdogs.org
I would like to personally thank Joanne Carroll for her own and her son’s sterling effort to raise funds for Pathfinder Dogs. On the 9th July Joanne and Shane will be doing a blindfolded Weir Walk in aid of Pathfinders. If you would like to donate then you should go to https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/joannecarroll1#.Vyfce8cSi94.facebook If, like Joanne, you would like to raise funds for Pathfinder Dogs then please contact Anne Royle through the web site at www.pathfinderdogs.org
On the 27th April I had the pleasure of going along to the Pathfinder Dogs Cafe in Hamilton where I was honoured to cut the ribbon for the official opening. If you are ever passing through the area then I can recommend the delicious food on offer there, especially the cream teas.
As ever, my team of gifted psychics are waiting to hear from you. If you would like to learn more or make enquiries about a video or telephone reading then please visit the Psychic Ether Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/PsychicEther/?fref=ts or the web site www.psychicether.com I take part in the regular “Ask the Psychic” feature when you could have your question answered by me in video form. I also have a service which offers personal video greetings from me so if you would like me to send birthday wishes or a greeting of any kind then please log on to www.celebvm.com/derekacorah
If you would like to keep up with me on social media, then my Twitter accounts is @derek_acorah and my official Facebook page is at https://www.facebook.com/derekacorahpage/?ref=hl If you have any enquiries regarding my theatre shows or my availability then please contact my sole agent, Mr. Brian Shaw, at brian@brianshaw.org.uk
I think that is all for this month. It only remains for me to wish you all a wonderful May and I look forward to seeing some of you during this month.
All very best wishes

MARCH 2016 NEWSLETTER

Posted on March 5th, 2016

Hello to Everybody

At long last Spring seems to be in the air and that awful relentless rain seems to have stopped for a while, or at least it has here. Today is bright and sunny and of late it’s wonderful to see that the daffodils have started appearing. The nice weather seems to have put an extra spring in the heels of Merlin, one of our dogs, who is getting up to all sorts of mischief at the moment. I think he’s going through the doggie version of the “terrible two’s” and is certainly proving to be a handful. I think doggie school is on the cards for him.

Although I had a couple of theatre dates at the end of January my main tour dates commence on the 10th March in Cheltenham where I will be appearing at the Town Hall. The list is as follows:-

If you require details for the weekend, whether you just want to go along for the day or whether you would like to spend longer with us, then please telephone 07918 813423 or of course you can log on to the Psychic Rendezvous web site at www.psychicrendezvous.co.uk

Another date that I am particularly looking forward to this month is my appearance at the Pavilion Theatre in Rhyl. On this occasion I will be joined on stage by three gifted mediums, Gray Davies, Lynn Hooper and Violet Moon, who work with me in making Psychic Ether the wonderful service that it is.

If you would like more details of this event then please get in touch with Fayth Barber on faythbarber@talktalk.net or visit the Derek Acorah Fan Club Facebook page at www.facebook.com/groups/DAFanClub You can also find details on the Fan Club web site http://derekacorahfanclub.webs.com This is a totally relaxed weekend when we all chill out together and have fun and where Fan Club members can make new friends and meet up with people that they may only have ever spoken to on social media. We also raise much needed funds for Pathfinder Dogs, a charity of which Gwen and I are proud to be Patrons. Pathfinder Dogs provide guide dogs for blind people, giving those people an independence that they had not experienced before. If you cannot come along but would still like to support Pathfinder Dogs then please visit their web site at www.pathfinderdogs.org where details can be found regarding donations, collecting of items for the Pathfinder Dogs shop or just general information about the charity.

JANUARY/FEBRUARY 2016 NEWSLETTER

Posted on February 29th, 2016

Hello to everybody

Because I have been away on holiday for the majority of January I decided that I would combine the January and February Newsletter.

I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and New Year. Gwen and I spent our holiday time at home in the company of our family and a wonderful we had too. Following the New Year celebrations we joined a cruise ship in Southampton. We had very bad seas for the first few days but it was enjoyable nonetheless and luckily neither of us suffer from sea sickness. The weather soon settled down once we had left the Azores and we were able to enjoy the rest of our holiday. One thing that was very upsetting was that whilst we were away our beautiful German Shepherd Dog, Penny, fell ill and nothing could be done to save her. She passed away on the 12th January, just two weeks short of her thirteenth birthday. January has become a very sad month for us because last January, on the 2nd, we lost our incomparable Jackie Boy two weeks short of his twelfth birthday. We comfort ourselves in the knowledge that both Jack and Penny have been reunited and we look forward to seeing them and being with them again in the future. Thank you to everybody who sent loving and heartfelt messages to us both at the time of Penny’s passing.

December saw the launch of the first series of my new television programme “The Past Hunters” which was aired on YourTV. It has received a wonderful response and reached No. 1 in the broadcaster’s viewing charts. Thank you to everybody who got in touch telling myself and the team how much they enjoyed the programme. It is unique in that it covers real ghost hunting with no frills and no artifice. I enjoyed working with the team very much whilst making the programme.

The 31st January saw the commencement of my 2016 Soul Reunion Tour, the first date being at The Penmure Hotel in Dundee followed by my return to the Bathgate Regal Theatre the next day. The next dates for my Soul Reunion Tour are as follows:

We also raise much needed funds for Pathfinder Dogs, a charity of which Gwen and I are proud to be Patrons. Pathfinder Dogs provide guide dogs for blind people, giving those people an independence that they had not experienced before. If you cannot come along but would still like to support Pathfinder Dogs then please visit their web site at www.pathfinderdogs.org where details can be found regarding donations, collecting of items for the Pathfinder Dogs shop or just general information about the charity.

I am very pleased to say that I will be returning to Southern Ireland in May of this year when I will be joined on stage by the lovely and gifted Tara Coyle. THE PAST HUNTERS

Posted on December 7th, 2015

On the 14th December, which is one week from today, I am very pleased to announce that a new programme, The Past Hunters,  will be starting on YourTV (Sky Channel 275, Freeview/Yourview Channel 73, Freesat Channel 161).  The team and I have been working on this project now for almost a year and have recorded twelve investigations.  I do hope that you enjoy watching as much as we enjoyed making them.  There have been some very interesting and sometimes amazing results to our investigations where we use a fusion of  modern day equipment and plain old-fashioned mediumship.  What there is not involved is any attempt to fool anybody in to believing that the things that happen are not but genuine.  As I have already said, I do hope that you enjoy.

DECEMBER 2015 NEWSLETTER

Posted on December 7th, 2015

And once again, here we are in December, and it’s time to start thinking about the celebrations for the coming Season. I love Christmas time, not only for all the lights and sparkles, but mostly for that wonderful feeling of family togetherness that this time engenders.

It is of course the time that we think about the people who are no longer with us but please be assured that they will visit us and join in from the Spirit side of life. I always feel that it is at this time of the year when there is so much good feeling around that it is in part because of our loved ones in spirit drawing close to us. I do hope that we also all remember those who are less fortunate than ourselves and I would like to think that wherever possible we will all help where we can.

2015 has been a very busy year for me as not only have I been conducting my Psychic Ether Theatre tour throughout the year but I have also been filming a new televisions show, The Past Hunters, and have been involved in a number of guest appearances on various different television shows as well as taking part in many radio interviews. I concluded my tour on the 3rd December in Workington and am now looking forward to a few weeks at home. I have also been involved in the internet project “Derek’s Place” where you can keep up with me as I travel around the country or spend time at home and see the other side of the life of being a medium. You can see the episodes of “Derek’s Place” by logging on to my web site www.derekacorah.com or you can find them posted up on my Facebook page on a monthly basis.

I am very pleased to be able to announce that from Monday the 14th December, you will be able to watch the latest series of The Past Hunters on YourTV – Sky 275/Freeview 73/Youview 73/Freesat 161. For details of scheduling, please visit http://www.yourtv-uk.com/ I am very excited about this project and hope that you will enjoy the results of our investigations as much as we enjoyed conducting them.

Good news too for the coming year…. Fayth Barber has once again kindly agreed to organise another Derek Acorah Fan Club event for 2016. This will be held on Saturday the 11th June at The Hilton Hotel, North Promenade, Blackpool. There will be a three course dinner which will be followed by an auction and then there will be a disco until late. The cost will be £40.00 per person and a £25.00 non-returnable deposit will be required upon booking. To reserve your place then please contact Fayth at faythbarber@talktalk.net The hotel have agreed a discounted bed and breakfast rate of £85.00 single occupancy for a room, or £95.00 for double occupancy to be paid upon departure. It has been the tradition over the past few years for some people to travel to the venue on the Friday evening before the event on the Saturday. I’m sure there will be lots of quizzes and raffles where you can win prizes on that evening too. Gwen and I will be attending as usual and are looking forward to sitting back and relaxing in the company of friends once again. Also in attendance will of course be Anne Royle, Founder of Pathfinder Guide Dog Programme which this fabulous weekend is being held in aid of. If you would like to join the Derek Acorah Official Fan Club then please visit the Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/DAFanClub/?fref=ts or you can log on to the web site at www.derekacorahfanclub.webs.com

As ever, I would ask you to remember Pathfinder Guide Dog Programme at this time of the year. Funds are always required for the upkeep of the wonderful dogs which make such a difference to blind people, giving them an independence that they otherwise would not have. If you would like to make a special Christmas donation then please visit the web site www.pathfinderdogs.org where you can find details on how to make a donation. Literally every little does help with this charity of which I am proud to be Patron.

I am looking forward very much to 2016 as I have lots of projects to look forward to as well as my new theatre tour, details of which can be seen on the Dates page of my web site www.derekacorah.com If you would like to make contact re bookings then please get in touch with my Agent, Brian Shaw on 01794 340915 or brian@brianshaw.org.uk

You can keep up with me by visiting my official Twitter account @derek_acorah or my Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/derekacorahpage/?ref=hl

Finally I would like to thank everybody who has come along to theatres and venues to see me this year. I do so enjoy meeting you all and I hope that we will meet again in the not too distant future.

I would also like to thank all the people who have helped me over the past twelve months – Gareth, Sam and Helen at Brian Shaw Concerts www.brianshaw.org.uk (who incidentally can also be found on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/brianshawconcertsltd/?fref=ts) and of course Brian himself, who has put up with me for quite a while now. Deep gratitude goes to Fayth, Shelley, Sarah and Garry for their sterling work and help with the Derek Acorah Official Fan Club and the unstinting support that they have given, not only to me, but to the members and visitors to the Fan Club. A big thank you to Mart Cooper who looks after the Derek Acorah web site and who produces the wonderful posters you see on social media and beyond. Another great big thank you goes to Sean Reynolds and Bex Palmer, as well as other Past Hunter team members, for the fun we had whilst making the programme and also the great friendship that has been forged, and to Jim Doyle who produces “Derek’s Place” and succeeds in giving everybody a giggle now and again. My biggest thanks go to the long suffering Ray “Rodders” Rodaway who puts up with me on the road and keeps me on the straight and narrow. I don’t know what I’d do without him. Not only is he my son-in-law but he is my greatest friend and I treasure that friendship…. even when he’s being grumpy. When Ray has been unable to accompany me I have had the pleasure of the company of Sean who has also spent many hours with me on the road, and for which I am grateful.

I will finish by wishing you all the very best wishes for Christmas from Gwen and I.
